The Acorn Project is excited to present Leabhar na gClaí: Know Your Hedgerows, a book created by Kasia Kamińska and the Know Your Hedgerows Cooperative Enquiry.

Before its publication later this autumn, you’ll have an opportunity to preview the original book, which will be hidden in a hedgerow in North Kilkenny at Graine Native tree Nursery .

Leabhar na gClaí explores the heritage of our hedgerows through the materials, stories and traditions they hold. Created by Kasia Kamińska and the Know Your Hedgerows Cooperative Enquiry, the book invites us to deepen our understanding of the relationship between people and place.

A heartfelt thank you to all the hands, hearts, minds and hedgerows that have shared their knowledge, materials, memories and learnings throughout this project. Exhibition is part of the Alternative Kilkenny Arts Festival . Open 10am to 5pm Guided Walk Daily at 1pm.

Know Your Hedgerows is an initiative supported by @kilkennyleader LEADER Partnership (KLP). The project celebrates the heritage of our hedgerows and explores how we can collaborate towards community stewardship of our hedgerows, ensuring that the knowledge and traditions held within these living boundaries continue to be shared with future generations.
