Welcome to Graine Native Tree Nursery, located in the heart of North Kilkenny and established in 2024 on a greenfield site. Our mission is to increase the production of native provenance trees in Ireland, supporting the restoration and expansion of native woodlands. We collect native tree seeds from across the country, with a special focus on the Nore, Suir, and Barrow catchments, ensuring a strong regional genetic base. To achieve Ireland’s afforestation and reforestation goals, a reliable, home-grown supply of forest reproductive material and plants is essential. By providing trees sourced and grown within Ireland, we aim to give landowners, foresters, and conservation projects greater confidence in the quality, diversity, and sustainability of our native tree resources.
