She has been immersed in Irish language, music and song since childhood and her sound
resonates with these early experiences. Influenced by local musicians and the archival
recordings of legendary musicians and singers, such as Willie Clancy and Elizabeth Cronin,
Muireann finds herself drawn to sharing this sound world that dominates her mind.
While traditional music shaped her ear, it was in her early twenties, while studying
contemporary music, that she began to imagine new sonic possibilities for the pipes. Since
then she has continued to delve deep into this exploration through ongoing exciting
collaborations with artists such as Róis, Peter Power, Caitríona Frost and Macdara Ó Faoláin.
“Ní Shé’s vision, marrying the weight and grounding of tradition with a keen sense of the
evocative and the intransigent, is truly compelling.” – Bandcamp Daily

Crispy Quill is a multi-instrumentalist from Dublin who loves clawhammer banjos, tearing into acoustic, electric and slide guitars using deep picking patterns and wide open tunings. She loves to explore big sounds and reverbs and pinches from Appalachian, folk, blues and American primitive guitar playing.

After spending most her life backing up some of Dublin and Wicklow’s most loved underground hidden gems, she has recently begun writing music of her own, marking an exciting period of growth for her ethereal, experimental sound.

William Slattery is a songwriter, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist from Bray, County Wicklow, known for his work with The Cujo Family and as a composer for film. His songs are carried by weathered, intimate vocals and vivid, dreamlike lyricism. A self-produced artist, he composes and records all of his own music from his home studio, crafting a darkly folk sound that is good for lost souls.

Longtime collaborators Crispy Quill and William Slattery are delighted to bring to the stage once again their rare musical chemistry honed over years of playing together. We do hope you will join us
