The Dance of the Deer welcomes a collaboration led by Freshford-based dance artist and choreographer Shannon Nash Spicer and artist Monica Fleming , the project invites community members to take part in hay weaving and creative movement, helping to co-design a unique performative dance piece that reflects the evolving story of Ireland’s biodiversity.

We will imagine a restored landscape Through movement, making , conversation and working together the project will explore the idea of shifting baselines in nature — how our understanding of what is “normal” in the landscape changes from one generation to the next as species and habitats shift , change and disappear .
