Join us for a vision quest in Nature as we tend the fires of Bealtine .Nestled in the oak woodlands along the River Nore , Waking the Seeds is an invitation to meet our wild selves and be inspired and restored by the land around us. This three day nature immersion weekend will offer a unique space to rediscover our human connection to nature through vision quest, ancestral skills and learning with our bioregional medicinal plants.
Landing We will take time away from our everyday lives and look to the forest for inspiration and renewal as we prepare for a vision quest in nature , connecting with medicinal plant allies through restorative practices like footbaths and ritual.We will wash our faces in the morning dew.This old fairy custom was said to wash away any masks We might wear and to reveal our true self. We will gather the May flowers and create flower essences infused and enthused by the the sun.
Vision Quest At sunset we will connect with the energies of Bealtine's fire of protection and purification, discovering our personal power as we learn to tend to our own fire .We will tend the fire through the night with the company of a story as each participant brings their own personal quest to the fire. participant will receive one to one preparation for their vision quest in advance of the weekend to prepare a ceremony that is just right for them.
Vision Weaving As part of the process we will also weave a vision mat This will give participants an opportunity to ground in the experience of the weekend while learning the ancient skill of weaving .The vision mat can be brought home and used for sit spot practice which will serve as a tool to integrate the gifts of the weekend and weave our visions into daily life .
Celebration Feast and Wild Medicine Making :We will craft a selection of wild seasonal medicines to take home with the plants which we meet over the weekend. We will celebrate with a wild food feast as we nourish our bodies with the wild foods of the forest.

Butterfly Valley Glamping is a small intimate glamping site located in Thomastown, County Kilkenny. It has a mix of Glamping accommodation, including Bell tents, Eco Pods and a Vintage Caravan set on wooden decks. The site is located in a rural location overlooking the woods and river Nore and it is suitable for someone looking for a unique ‘back to nature’ experience in the Irish countryside.
