Join Monica Fleming , Michael Miklis and Brian Dillon of the Kilkenny Fruit Tree Project for a morning of skill sharing and go home with three grafted apple trees.
Rootstock and a selection of scion wood will be provided but participants can also bring their own cuttings from a favourite tree that they would like to duplicate. If you wish to do so collect some cuttings as early as possible and store them in a sealed plastic bag in the fridge or in a cool dark shed. Do not wrap the scions in damp paper or water as this will only cause mould. Cuttings should be from last years growth only and 5-10mm diameter wood is ideal.
